Welcome! This is the first posting of my new blog. I have posted some images of my paintings, with many more to come. Please leave feedback if you are inspired to do so.
The image at left is the first from my bug series, which will be hanging in my upcoming show, "Landscapes Big & Small: Bugs and the Places They Live". It will be up September 1 through November 10 in the Boardroom Gallery at the Arts Council downtown. I will be having a reception on Friday, Sept. 8, from 5-8pm. The address is 11 Biltmore Avenue. This is a pastel landscape of the Ivestor Gap Trail near Shining Rock off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is one of my favorite areas to hike and camp. The sky is gloomy looking because it had been raining a lot. In fact, we barely got our tents up in time for the sky to open up.
